I have been totally frustrated with wall vents that don't close, the damper hangs open constantly. I installed one of these to exhaust a Panasonic bathroom exhaust fan and it works perfectly. I bought another to replace my dryer vent. A simple concept that just works. I wish these were available in more sizes and colors and materials. The magnetic flapper dryer vent worked far better than the old plastic louvered grille. The plastic failed in sunlight and was brittle and broke when cleaned. The new square vent design looks much better. I will get this vent grill again when I need one.+ Rich

Thank you for a reasonably priced, well-made product. I too was tired of constantly replacing flimsy vent covers that did not close tightly. The dryer vent works perfectly. The one for the bathroom vent needed something to lessen the attraction of the magnets as the blower did not have the strength to break the seal. A piece of tape was all it took and it now works perfectly also.+ Mary

I bought one for my dryer and one for my bathroom exhaust fan. They work better than expected. Well worth their money. Simple design and no back pressure. These vents put the plastic ones to shame! I do not know why plastic vents are even allowed to be made, 2-3 years they fall apart from sun exposure unlike these steel ones! Great product!+ Ernest A.

The Dryer Wall Vent is well constructed and operates smoothly. I installed two in the attic gable, one for each bathroom vent fan on the second floor of our home. I recommend use with 8" aluminum siding. The vent fits flush on a single panel of aluminum and seals with a minimum of caulk around the wall cutout. Sweet!+ John Shipley

In the 15 years we've lived in our house, I've replaced the dryer vent at least three times. The aluminum ones are thin stock, cheap and fall apart. The plastic ones get brittle and fall apart because of the heat and cold, winter and summer. Gone are the heavy galvanized metal ones they used to sell. But this one is very nice: well made out of a decent thickness of powder coated steel. I don't foresee replacing this vent cover in my lifetime. The price is good and I didn't mind paying a little more for UPS to deliver it.+ Dean Ferrin

Easily the best and most attractive and durable unit on the market. And since it blows outward instead of downward, it has an unimpeded airflow and no lint collection near the vent. Best dryer vent on the market. Our old vent opened to only 30 degrees with the dryer on; which is typical. At 30 degrees, the dryer was running inefficiently. The Dryer Wall Vent opens to 45 degrees when our Maytag dryer is on, and the sides of the vent flap are not blocked as with other vents, so there's a lot less air resistance. As a result, the clothes dry quicker -- maybe 10-15 minutes less time per load than before. This will save electricity and the dryer will last longer; i.e., this thing will pay for itself. The device is very well made - 26 gauge steel (much heavier than typical steel ducts or other dryer vents) with a high quality powder coat. There are two 1/2" x 1/2" stick-on magnets at the bottom of the flap that hold the door closed when not in use to keep wind/insects/birds out. Completed project has a professional look. I had a dryer vent and two bathroom vents that were cheap plastic destroyed by the sun. I wasn't sure how to replace them without chipping away the house exterior stucco. This product worked perfectly. It is metal so the sun will not destroy it plus it was easily mounted over the stucco with construction adhesive which is what I decided to use instead of screws. They look great and should last as long the house. Thank you for making a well designed quality product.+ Chris B
