Installation

Existing Construction

1. Remove existing vent hood exterior while leaving the the pipe in place. Optionally use a metal disk cut-off blade to cut housing flush to finish wall surface.
2. Ensure surface is level and clean. Confirm wall vent will mount and mate properly to pre-existing pipe.
3. Caulk or apply a weather-proof butyl-like sealant / adhesive to wall where vent will contact finish surface being careful to prevent caulk from coming in contact with hinge pins.
4. Gently mount the wall vent and optionally secure the vent with pan head screws being careful not to skew or warp the vent. In most cases, caulk alone should be sufficient.

New Construction

1. Run standard non-crimped SnapLock seamed 4" pipe through exterior wall, terminating it just shy of the plane of the proposed or present finishing block or stucco.
2. At exterior trim-out, confirm wall vent will mount and mate properly to preinstalled pipe.
